## Supporting Trans Lives in Massachusetts Assistance when you need it most ## Transitional Housing Program Safe and affirming housing for transgender individuals At the Transgender Emergency Fund of Massachusetts (TEF), we believe that everyone deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to build a stable future.
We provide critical support to transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming individuals across Massachusetts who are experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or financial crisis. Through emergency financial assistance, transitional housing, and case management, TEF helps community members move from crisis to stability and toward long-term independence.
Our housing programme, the only transitional housing programme in Massachusetts specifically serving the transgender and gender nonconforming community, offers a structured, supportive environment where residents can secure employment, build savings, access healthcare, and prepare for permanent housing. TEF is more than a safety net. We are a pathway to stability, empowerment, and self-determination.

We provide critical support to transgender individuals facing emergency situations in Massachusetts. ### Transitional Housing Program TEF operates Massachusetts’ only transitional housing programme designed specifically for transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming individuals experiencing homelessness.
Our six-month structured residency provides safe, substance-free housing paired with case management, employment support, life skills development, and housing navigation services. Participants work toward permanent housing, financial stability, and independent living in a safe and affirming environment that promotes accountability, resilience, and long-term success.
