Included among these travel options are carpooling, vanpooling, teleworking, transit, bicycle, flexible work hours, compressed work weeks and parking policies/pricing structures.
NCDOT Integrated Mobility Division (IMD)'s TDM Program Purpose Statement: To increase efficiency of North Carolina's transportation network and support community livability by decreasing vehicle miles traveled, reducing traffic congestion, and improving air quality.
Through funding, partnerships, and technical assistance, we empower urban, suburban, and rural communities to increase awareness and access to multimodal transportation options for residents, employees, and visitors through cost-effective strategies and innovative outreach and education approaches.

gov FY 26 TDM Quarterly Reporting and Reimbursement Request Deadlines All grant recipients are required to submit quarterly reporting and reimbursement requests within 30 days of the end of the quarter. Q1 (July 1 - Sept. 30): Due by Oct.
30, 2025 Q2 (Oct. 1 - Dec. 31): Due by Jan.
30, 2026 Q3 (Jan. 1 - March 31): Due by April 30, 2026 Q4 (April 1 - June 30): Due by July 30, 2026 Where to submit quarterly reporting and reimbursement requests: Reimbursement requests along with a copy of your quarterly progress report must be submitted through EBS. A copy of your quarterly progress report, scorecard, and additional examples of project work, photos, etc. must be submitted through this Smartsheet intake form .

FY 26 TDM Grant Recipients Approved at the June 5, 2025 NCDOT Board of Transportation Meetings, the FY26 grant recipients include: Centralina Regional Council Central Pines Regional Council (CPRC) Land of Sky Regional Council Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART) TDM Plan Content Standards and Development Process A TDM Plan is a document that agencies use to guide their efforts in developing and managing a TDM program.
The TDM Plan Content Standards and Development Process document outlines the expected content for the development of NCDOT-funded TDM Plans. It can also be used as a reference guide for agencies independently pursuing development of a TDM plan or updating an existing TDM plan. The document includes the following sections: TDM Plan Content Standards, TDM Planning Process, and Project Manager Checklist.
TDM Plan Content Standards and Development Process (PDF) Share the Ride NC is a statewide website that was created to help form carpools and vanpools. It is provided free of charge in support of the effort to improve air quality.
Funding is secured by the NCDOT and these agencies: Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Land of Sky Council of Governments (COG) Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART) Commute Friendly NC is a statewide recognition program that offers a simple and easy platform to celebrate leadership of all the businesses and organizations (large and small), throughout the NC State, who are taking valuable steps to support and shift single-occupancy, car-driven trips of their employees to alternative sustainable modes, such as carpool, vanpool, telework, public transit, biking, walking and flexible work weeks.
The program is funded by NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT).
Led by Central Pines Regional Council (CPRC), the program has been developed by a strong, collaborative partnership of seven statewide agencies: Land of Sky Regional Council (LOSRC), Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS), GoCoast (Wilmington), Piedmont Authority for Regional Transit (PART), GoTriangle (Regional Transit Agency), Sustain Charlotte (Non- profit, Charlotte) and Triangle Transportation Choices (CPRC).

The Homeless Youth Program is a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services that funds services for homeless and at-risk youth across Illinois.
