Trauma Care Readiness and Coordination Program

Hospital Preparedness Program Cooperative Agreement is a federal grant from the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that strengthens healthcare system readiness for public health emergencies, disasters, and incidents of national significance. The program funds up to 62 awards supporting state, local, tribal, and territorial governments; hospitals; emergency medical services; and other healthcare entities. Funding is provided as cooperative agreements requiring active collaboration with ASPR. Eligible applicants must operate or oversee healthcare coalitions and emergency preparedness infrastructure. Award amounts vary by jurisdiction and program scope.

Abuse in Later Life Program is sponsored by Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), Department of Justice. This program funds training for criminal justice professionals to enhance their ability to address abuse in later life, provides cross-training opportunities, establishes or supports a coordinated community response to abuse in later life, and provides or enhances services for victims who are 50 or older. While focused on older adults, elements of trauma-informed care are relevant, and the inclusion of victim service providers makes it potentially applicable for organizations serving women.
