Trauma-Informed Practice Fund Grant is sponsored by The Fund for Greater Hartford Inc. A grant supporting organizations working directly with children to adopt trauma-informed practices.

Trauma Informed Practice Fund | The Fund for Greater Hartford Trauma-Informed Practice Fund The Fund for Greater Hartford invites organizations that work directly with children to develop trauma-informed practices in their workplace. The Fund for Greater Hartford does not consider a grant proposal to constitute confidential information.

We may discuss organizations or grant inquiries with other funders, individuals identified within the proposal, outside experts, and other appropriate people in the community. Information you consider to be confidential or proprietary should not be included in your proposal. Applications must be submitted using The Fund’s online grant management system.

There is no guarantee that the funding requested will be awarded. Grant requests cannot exceed $5,000 . Up to two grants may be awarded per calendar year per applicant .

Trainers may not apply for funding on their own . A group of organizations that meet the criteria may participate in the training together. If the application is on behalf of a partnership or collaborative of organizations, it is recommended that the application be completed together.

Applicant organizations must be tax-exempt under IRS Code section 501(c) 3 or have a fiscal agent/sponsor that is a 501(c) 3.

Applicants must demonstrate: They directly serve a culturally diverse population of children Have leadership buy-in and support Staff has a willingness to participate in the training The ability to effectively implement trauma-informed care practices Use of evidence-based trauma-informed best practices throughout the organization They have or are creating physically and psychologically safe and secure environments They can develop and sustain a trauma-informed workforce They address secondary traumatic stress/compassion fatigue among staff Training will be conducted by a professional trainer in this area.

It is highly recommended that the application be completed in partnership with the chosen trainer.

Contain an interactive role playing component to the selected model Be part of a series of trainings and not a stand-alone, and/or one-time event Have an evaluation component Examples of items that can be covered in the request: Per diem rate to cover staff absences The staff of The Fund for Greater Hartford is available to advise and assist any organization planning to apply for a grant.
