Travel, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation - State Tourism Grants is a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) that funds state-level efforts to rebuild travel, tourism, and outdoor recreation sectors following economic damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the American Rescue Plan, EDA invested $750 million across 185 awards nationwide, allocating $510 million directly to states for marketing, infrastructure improvements, workforce development, and other recovery projects. An additional $240 million was distributed competitively to the hardest-hit communities, with over 50 percent of competitive awards directed to historically underserved populations. Eligible applicants are state and territorial tourism agencies.
