Triple-S Foundation Competitive Grants Program is sponsored by Triple-S Management. This program funds projects in Puerto Rico that aim to improve the quality of life, reduce the impact of adverse social determinants of health, and improve access to care by integrating complementary services for vulnerable populations. The foundation prioritizes food security and mental health initiatives.

As part of the company's commitment to Triple-S Foundation with the strengthening of Puerto Rico's medical class, announces, for the second consecutive year, the call for scholarships for medical students, residents in specialties such as neurology, surgical neurology, orthopedics, rheumatology and pediatrics, as well as for master's degree students in nursing and pharmacy technician degrees.

Applications for the Triple-S Foundation Fund are now available through the Fundación Comunitaria de Puerto Rico (FCPR) website - www. fcpr. org o this link - until Friday, April 25, 2025.

Financial support for each individual could range up to a maximum of $11,500 and be used for study-related expenses, including housing, tuition, books, laboratory equipment, technological equipment, educational resources, food and transportation. The Scholarship Fund was established in 2023, providing financial support to six (6) outstanding medical residents.

This year, with the purpose of expanding the initiative, nine (9) scholarships will be awarded, incorporating new specialties, to benefit a greater number of future health professionals studying here in Puerto Rico. “We decided to rethink the opportunities we offer so that other health professionals in high demand would have the alternative of also having economic relief, thus having one more stimulus to keep going,” he explained.

This is the second call for scholarships from the Triple-S Foundation Fund, established at the FCPR. The first one focused on medical students studying specialties in neurology, pediatrics and orthopedics. The new call expands the opportunities by adding the specialties of surgical neurology and rheumatology, as well as graduate nursing and pharmacy technician degrees.

“The scholarship has been of great value, as it allowed me to focus on my training as an orthopedist with less economic concern for the high costs of medical school and the interview process for my subspecialty in joint reconstruction in the United States.
