Ujima Legacy Fund supports projects in the Richmond region that will positively impact youth and young adults, ages 12 to 21 years, with emphasis on underserved youth populations. The Ujima Legacy Fund’s vision is to be a unique philanthropic opportunity for African-American men who care about their community to work together and collectively invest in the education of young people and the organizations that serve them.
Ujima benefits from a partnership with the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond, which provides the administrative structure for the giving circle. Ujima members contribute a minimum of $1,100 to participate in a grant pool to be awarded to one or more nonprofits selected through an application process.
Ujima is committed to supporting area nonprofits in the Richmond region that empower youth through education related initiatives.
