New Hampshire Space Grant Consortium A NASA Space Grant Consortium Please note: Any person funded under this grant must be a U.S. Citizen We support seven New Hampshire affiliate institutions and thousands of teachers, students, faculty, and citizens interested in the sciences, space science, and inspiring future scientists.
Our affiliates include: University of New Hampshire, Dartmouth College, Plymouth State University, the Community College System of NH, the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, Mount Washington Observatory, and BAE Systems. Student research is at the heart of Space Grant's mission.
NHSG provides support for fellowships, internships, and scholarships at New Hampshire Space Grant institutions, furthering STEM education within the state and growing our national scientific and technological capacity. Our Space Grant informal education partners McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center and Mount Washington Observatory bring STEM experiences to people of all ages across New Hampshire.
NHSG supports exhibit development, STEM camps, in-class and distance learning. Recently, Space Grant funding enabled MSDC's development and installation of an exhibit designed and constructed by students at area technical high schools. NASA Challenges provides unique student experiences.

NASA solicits this research through the release of various research announcements in a wide range of science and technology disciplines. McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center's annual Aerospace Fest is coming up soon! Rain or shine, on September 16th, 2023, from 10:30am-4pm.
This event is FREE to the public and geared towards scientists, stargazers, explorers, and learners of all ages!
This year, AerospaceFest will extend both outdoors and inside the Discovery Center, meaning visitors can enjoy the Discovery Center exhibit halls, new Science Playground, and observatory as well as all the wonderful guest exhibitors, science-based activities, and a full line-up of fun on the main stage outside including music/activities by Nazzy of Precision Entertainment DJs, and a performance by Mr. Aaron.
Parking for this event is also free! Food, beverages, and ice cream is for sale on-site by The Starlite Cafe'. Reservation is not required!
As always, AerospaceFest means the debut of a brand-new planetarium show that plays at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, and 3pm. Tickets are free- donation suggested, and will be given out at the Welcome Tent on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 10:30pm.
