By bringing together leaders from government, the private sector, civil society, and philanthropy, the Foundation creates spaces to shape bold solutions to global challenges — from climate action to food security, public health crises, and economic equity. In 2025, we convened 35+ events across energy, food, and health — and introduced our newest initiative: Build the Shared Future .

Build the Shared Future is our commitment to scaling solutions in food, health, and climate. By mobilizing partners and resources across sectors, we aim to drive collective action with urgency and ambition to meet this decisive decade’s challenges. Alongside this new initiative, we spotlighted breakthrough collaborations already reshaping lives and systems worldwide.

A year ago, The Rockefeller Foundation joined the effort led by The World Bank and African Development Bank to bring 300 million Africans electricity by 2030. At this year’s UNGA, we reflected on the progress we’ve made so far and what we need to keep the momentum going. Regenerative School Meals Over 300 million children go without a daily nutritious meal, while 1.

5 billion farming families face climate and food insecurity. Following a high-level discussion at The Rockefeller Foundation at this year’s UNGA, governments of Brazil, France, and Somalia alongside WFP, released a joint statement calling for integration of regenerative school meals into national climate policies.

At UNGA ’25, our Asia-Pacific Big Bets Fellows showcased transformative solutions — from bringing clean water to 300 villages in Indonesia to de-risking the financial system for farmers. Together, these changemakers are proving that the best ideas come from the communities closest to the challenges.
