Internationally, we work with our partners to launch pad-making machine programs and washable pad-making programs in individual communities.
In the U.S., we provide grants to nonprofits, grassroots organizations, schools, and school districts to purchase and/or distribute menstrual products to the people they serve. Our international programs are not currently accepting applications, but to learn more about how to apply for a U.S. grant, see below. Please note, The Pad Project does not have the capacity to fund the large number of grant applicants we receive each year.
In general, we prioritize organizations with multiple funding sources and with a proven track record of implementing long-term programs. To indicate interest in applying for one of our grants, please submit a response to the interest form below. We welcome the opportunity to learn more about your organization through our interest form for consideration in the next grant cycle, which has an anticipated opening date of December 2026.
The organization to be funded is a registered nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status The organization to be funded is located and operational in the U.S. The organization to be funded must utilize grant funds to support menstrual product accessibility among historically underserved and marginalized populations in the U.S. The organization to be funded must be able to provide The Pad Project with quarterly grant progress updates and external communications content The organization to be funded must communicate with The Pad Project staff within the deadlines requested by our team The organization to be funded must have a dedicated staff member who serves as the point of contact for partnership-related inquiries The organization to be funded can receive no more than one grant per calendar year from The Pad Project The Pad Project’s Pads Across America program funds the purchase and distribution of menstrual products Products purchased with grant funds may include, but are not limited to, pads, liners, tampons, cups, and period underwear Product grants generally fall in the $500 – $10,000 range and do not cover operating or overhead costs (transportation, fuel, etc.) at this time Please submit a response to this Google Form to indicate interest in the next U.S. Programs grant cycle Select organizations will be invited to apply for a grant in December 2026 Organizations invited to apply must fill out their application via a Google Form.

TAX ID # 82-2441730. Support our Menstrual Hygiene Month Campaign! The Pad Project supports grassroots partners with small grants and technical assistance to pilot and scale menstrual health programs in low-income communities.
We promote the creation of sustainable business models for the production and//or selling of menstrual products. Where markets are severely under-developed, our grants support free distribution of products. To encourage choice for the people we serve, the programs provide access to one or more products, including disposable pads, washable pads, period underwear and menstrual cups.
In every region where we work, our partners provide culturally sensitive menstrual health education within their communities. The Pad Project develops partnerships with schools, non-profits, and grassroots organizations to address period poverty in the U.S. Through our U.S. Programs, we stand as the first believer in changemakers, providing grants to organizations in need of menstrual care products.
Our commitment is to uplift communities and locally led initiatives by increasing access to menstrual products and resources. In doing so, our hope is to close opportunity gaps connected to period poverty across the country. The Pad Project’s Ambassador Program is a leadership development and advocacy initiative that galvanizes the next generation of menstrual equity activists into action.
Our youth-powered team takes a localized approach to tackling menstrual injustice through project-based learning and service opportunities. Volunteering their time and skills, Ambassadors collaborate on work that progresses product accessibility, public health, and civic engagement to advocate for a world free from menstrual stigma.
This program builds community, awareness, and a global network of activists, prioritizing inclusivity and belonging. Girls Learn International (GLI) Girls Learn International (GLI) empowers and educates middle and high school students to advocate for human rights, and gender equity in the U.S. and around the world.
Student-to-student, and student-to-parent, GLI is building a movement of informed advocates for universal girls’ education and a new generation of leaders and activists for social change.
