Diversifying Partnerships in WASH Program (DiP-WASH) | Research Funding US Agency for International Development Diversifying Partnerships in WASH Program (DiP-WASH) The United States Agency for International Development is announcing the Diversifying Partnerships in WASH Program (DiP-WASH).

Through this Annual Program Statement (APS), USAID announces its desire to engage a diverse range of partners, including new, underutilized and/or locally-established partners, on innovative and evidence-based approaches that address persistent challenges in the safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and water resources management (WRM) sectors that are not adequately addressed by other USAID investments, and that result in increasing the equitable availability and sustainable management of safe water and sanitation for the underserved and most vulnerable.

Individual USAID Missions or Bureaus (also known together as Operating Units) will request Concept Papers via Addenda as the first step in a three-step process that could result in USAID funding for an idea. Interested organizations should read this entire APS, as well as any Addenda, and follow the instructions for submitting a Concept Paper.

Applicants should not submit Concept Papers in response to this umbrella APS, but only to Addenda published to this APS. Applicants are encouraged to form partnerships when developing Concept Notes, especially with local entities. Please note that Applicants can serve as sub-awardees, members of a consortium or supporting partners on multiple Concept Notes unless otherwise indicated in an Addendum to this APS.

However, all eligible interested organizations are restricted to submitting only one Concept Note as the Prime Applicant per Addendum at any given time. Interested applicants from within Duke should contact fundopps@duke. edu as early as possible.

Closing Date: February 11, 2025 Addendum for Transformative Partnerships for Climate-Resilient Water and Sanitation Initiative under DiP-WASH -- India Through this Transformati ve Partnerships for Climate-Resilient Water and Sanitation Initiative Addendum, USAID/India aims to engage local partners to expand and amplify the Agency’s work through and with water and sanitation.

The overall Agency goal is to support partner countries to achieve sustainable, equitable, and resilient results, and catalyze more effective partnering for impact. This Addendum disseminates information to prospective Applicants so they may develop and submit concept notes in response and ultimately to be considered for USAID funding.

Eligibility for this APS is not restricted, subject to any clarification in this APS and additional detail provided in any of its Addenda. However, USAID missions and operating units have been encouraged to issue Addenda to this APS that utilize New Partnerships Initiative (NPI) approaches. The objective of DiP-WASH is to diversify USAID’s partners in water, sanitation, hygiene and water resources management activities.

As such, all partner types, such as U.S. small businesses, businesses that provide WASH services or supply chains, financial providers, minority-serving institutions, utility and trade associations, universities/academic institutions including U.S. minority-serving institutions, and others are encouraged to join consortia or to submit Concept Notes in response to Addenda.

Applicants are encouraged to form partnerships when developing Concept Notes, especially with local entities. Please note that Applicants can serve as sub-awardees, members of a consortium or supporting partners on multiple Concept Notes unless otherwise indicated in an Addendum to this APS.

However, all eligible interested organizations are restricted to submitting only one Concept Note as the Prime Applicant per Addendum at any given time. USAID/Guatemala expects to make approximately between 6-14 individual awards up to a total of approximately $60 Million ($30 million from USAID funding and $30 million from leveraged by partners) to support the program areas under this APS.

The total amount of funding to be awarded will depend on the variety and quality of the concepts USAID/Guatemala receives. USAID/Guatemala reserves the right to fund any, or none, of the concept papers submitted. The minimum total individual project value is US$2,000,000.
