The USTA Foundation awards scholarships to deserving young people who have participated in organized youth tennis programs like the NJTL chapter network, have demonstrated high academic achievement, and require financial assistance for college matriculation. The USTA's Adaptive Tennis Grant is offered to assist in the promotion, implementation and growth of adaptive tennis programs at the community level.

Criteria for selection include: clear use of grant funds in an itemized budget; a plan for program sustainability, program growth and expansion, which can include the number of athletes and/or play opportunities; and success stories. USTA Wheelchair Tennis Grassroots Grant Since 2008, USTA Wheelchair Tennis has been a steadfast champion for the sport's development, investing over $650,000 in grassroots programs nationwide.

These grants go beyond mere financial aid; they represent a strategic commitment to cultivating a thriving ecosystem for wheelchair tennis, with a particular focus on programs with an emphasis on attracting new junior players to the sport.

Grant amounts are based on each program's existing budget, as well as the future programming needs of the organization, and should assist in providing assets including coaching, court time, events (i.e., run/rolls, tournaments, camps) and equipment. The deadline to apply for 2026 grant applications is Jan. 31, 2026. Collegiate Community Hub Grant Together with the ITA, the USTA is pleased to offer a one-time grant up to $10,000 awarded to your athletic department if you actively operate your tennis facility as a new “Collegiate Community Hub”.

Tennis Venue Services Grant The USTA is pleased to offer a number of services through the Tennis Venue Services team. Complimentary business, advocacy, and technical assistance are available to facilities to help grow the game in their communities. In addition, the USTA offers a competitive grant to public facilities that can further support their facility improvements.

David N. Dinkins HBCU Coaching Grant The USTA, with support from Tennis Industry United and the USTA Foundation, developed the USTA David N. Dinkins HBCU Coaching Grant that will support HBCUs that currently have varsity tennis programs.

Collegiate Wheelchair Program Grant The Collegiate Wheelchair Grant program from USTA Player Development provides financial aid to existing or planned collegiate wheelchair tennis programs. The maximum amount that can be awarded is $5,000. 00, and you may request up to that amount.
