The Boating Access (BA) grant program provides federal funds for facilities that create or improve public access for recreational boating opportunities throughout Utah. This program aims to enhance and maintain waterway accessibility while educating recreational boaters about environmental considerations. Projects include renovation of existing facilities and implementation of essential boating infrastructure such as ramps, courtesy docks, and support facilities. Eligible activities include planning, permitting, design, construction, administration, and coordination of boating access programs, as well as amenities for boaters.
Boating Access is a grant program from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources that funds improvements to public waterway access infrastructure. Eligible projects include construction or rehabilitation of boat ramps, courtesy docks, boat lifts, breakwaters, marinas, and access roads. Additional supported improvements include restrooms, fish cleaning stations, trash receptacles, lighting, camping areas, dredging, aquatic weed control, buoy installation, and water rights acquisition. Planning, construction, and environmental assessments are all allowable expenses. Applications are reviewed by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and the Boating Advisory Council on a fiscal year cycle running July 1 through June 30.
