Research Areas and Expertise UW Announces New Funding Program to Expand Research on Artificial Intelligence Twelve University of Wyoming projects have been selected for seed funding for the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to various areas of investigation.

UW’s School of Energy Resources (SER) -- in partnership with the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences -- is establishing the Center of Excellence in Subsurface Energy and Digital Innovation The University of Wyoming has earned its Research Level 1 (R1) status from the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, placing Wyoming's only four-year university with the top research universities in the United States.
