The application must be completed and submitted by August 15, 2026, along with supporting documents including your financial statements and the relevant signature page linked below: Individual Congregations & Organizations : Standard Signature Page Groups of Congregations : Group Covenant Note : you will need to print and sign hard copies of the signature pages and upload as an attachment with your application.
You may also need to upload a Multi-Year Addendum . This one-page document must be included when a project is expected to span more than one year. The Grant Team wants to understand the entire time horizon, along with the funding needs anticipated and how you hope to meet them.
As you work on your application, you are encouraged to refer to the “How-To Guide” found on the Apply page under Application Resources . It is a step-by-step explanation of each question in the application, including tips for how to develop your budget and the level of detail to provide. Applicants will be notified of grant award decisions via email following the November Synod Council Meeting.

The SCI Youth Grant Pitch Contest is a competitive program from Social Capital Inc. that funds youth-led community improvement projects in Greater Boston. Improving Veteran Mental Health Grant Program is a grant from The Cigna Group Foundation that funds nonprofits providing housing stability and wraparound support services to improve the mental health of military veterans. The Foundation committed $9 million over three years addressing housing instability and its mental health impacts, as an estimated 40,000 veterans go without shelter nightly and 1.5 million are at risk of homelessness. Funded programs include mortgage and rental assistance, employment re-entry training, and housing development for veterans. Eligible nonprofits must leverage evidence-informed programs and align with at least one goal: increasing permanent housing, improving housing affordability, or enhancing wraparound services for veterans transitioning from shelters.
