Each member has an equal say and an equal vote about which nonprofit organizations will receive support each year. 100WomenStrong was founded in 2008 by people who have made a commitment to improve the quality of life for residents of Loudoun County.

By combining powerful financial strength, a philanthropic passion for giving, and community leadership, 100WomenStrong provides strategic support to help address key areas of need in our community. 100WomenStrong is a component fund of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties. 100WomenStong now invites organizations to submit a Letter of Intent for the 2027 100WomenStrong Competitive Grant cycle.

**Grantmaking Priorities** 100WomenStrong provides funding for projects or programs addressing these needs in Loudoun County, Virginia: In addition, 100WomenStrong prioritizes requests for funding that: * maintain or increase the capacity of the organization’s mission. * provide significant benefits and/or impact to Loudoun County residents. * provide creative and innovative ways to meet community needs.

Priority will be given to organizations that demonstrate operational readiness to accept a grant and serve as good stewards of the funding. This may include, but is not limited to, demonstration of a proven track record of service delivery in Loudoun County and/or MOUs or partnerships with organizations as evidence of readiness to expand services to Loudoun for those organizations not already providing services in this community.

#### Now Accepting Applications for 2026 Grant Cycle The**Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties**and**Community Foundation for Northern Virginia**have partnered to offer grant opportunities to qualifying organizations serving Loudoun County through the Loudoun Impact Fund.

The Loudoun Impact Fund is a giving circle of caring donors, each making gifts of $1,000 (per person) or $5,000 (per foundation or corporation) to the Fund. Gifts are pooled together to leverage funding and offer grants with impact, here at home. Donors to the Loudoun Impact Fund serve as volunteer proposal reviewers and make funding recommendations together as a group.

Some members are new to grantmaking while others have participated in the grantmaking process for many years. Loudoun Impact Fund grant-makers look forward to learning more about community needs, local programs, and creative solutions in Loudoun County.

**Grantmaking Priorities** The Loudoun Impact Fund grant advisors will consider applications to fund services and projects that positively impact one of these three populations: 1) vulnerable or at-risk children and youth; 2) people with disabilities; or 3) older adults in Loudoun County.

Examples of proposed projects and services that may have been funded in the past include: * Basic needs support for low-income, vulnerable, or at-risk children or youth, people with disabilities, and/or older adults, including food, shelter, and housing; * Physical and behavioral health and wellness for low-income, vulnerable, or at-risk children and youth, people with disabilities, and/or older adults; * Trauma-informed services for low-income, vulnerable, or at-risk children and youth, people with disabilities, and/or older adults, addressing and preventing family violence and/or abuse; * Academic and school-readiness support for low-income, vulnerable, or at-risk children and youth; * Programs providing high-quality child care for low-income, vulnerable, or at-risk children and youth; * Programs providing life-skills, literacy services, job training, and/or employment placement services to low-income, vulnerable, or at-risk youth, people with disabilities, and/or older adults; * Youth development and leadership opportunities for low-income, vulnerable, or at-risk children or youth; * Programs providing social support, day-support, transportation assistance, and/or respite care for people with disabilities and/or older adults.

The grant award period is considered to be December 1, 2026 – November 1, 2027. Proposed projects, programs and services must be completed within the grant award period.

**2026 Grant Guidelines** The Ursula Landsrath Animal Rescue Fund was founded in 2019 as a tribute to Ursula Landsrath. In addition to her career as a fashion model, movie stunt driver, skydiver, hotel manager, fashion boutique manager, and real estate investor, Ursula was a steadfast animal welfare advocate. In 2001, she founded the Animal Rescue Fund of Virginia that distributed more than $1 million in grants around the Commonwealth.

ULARF continues her legacy and will consider applications from nonprofit organizations serving or rescuing animals in Virginia. ULARF is now accepting applications for its 2026 grant cycle.

**Eligibility Requirements** * Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity in good standing with the IRS; * Applicants must be an animal welfare organization; * Applicants must be incorporated and operational in Virginia, * Applicants must be in operation for a minimum of 12 full months prior applying, and * Organizations may only submit one application to ULARF per year.

**Grantmaking Priorities** * Spay/neuter, Trap Neuter Return programs for feral cats; * Emergency medical funds, supplies, and equipment for farm, domestic, or wild animals; * Costs of emergency repairs to organization facilities (unanticipated electrical/plumbing/water heaters, etc); * Public outreach and education program expenses; and/or, * Virginia-based regional animal assistance organizations providing support to smaller, local animal rescue or assistance organizations.

**What ULARF Will Not Fund** * ULARF will generally not consider funding for wages, salaries, personnel, or training expenses. * ULARF will not provide funding for fundraising or development costs. * ULARF will generally not consider funding for vehicle purchases.

**ULARF Emergency Funding Requests** Guidelines and Eligibility Requirements ULARF may consider emergency requests for funding outside of its competitive grant cycle throughout the year. Emergency funding requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on funding available.

Organizations requesting emergency funding must meet the following eligibility requirements: Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity in good standing with the IRS; Applicants must be an animal welfare organization; Applicants must be incorporated and operational in Virginia, Previous ULARF grantees may be prioritized for emergency funding; and Organizations may only submit one emergency funding request to ULARF per year.

Organizations receiving emergency funding are also eligible for funding the competitive grant cycle.

_ **Grant Program Summary** Amazon, in collaboration with the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, proudly announces the launch of the Amazon Loudoun County Community Fund, a bold $150,000 investment aimed at empowering nonprofits and community-based organizations in Loudoun.

This new grant program is designed to support initiatives that drive transformation, inclusion, and resilience in the Loudoun community. The fund will provide grants to support nonprofits working to uplift the community through impactful, mission-driven projects.

**Grantmaking Priorities** The Amazon Loudoun County Community Fund will make grants ranging $500 to $10,000 to fund projects implemented by nonprofits for the benefit of Loudoun residents in the following categories: * Health and Wellness: Projects and programs that promotes physical and mental health through access to care, preventive services, wellness programs, and community-based health initiatives.

* Food Security: Projects and programs that ensure reliable access to affordable, nutritious, and culturally relevant food through programs such as food pantries, community gardens, and nutrition education.

* Community Infrastructure for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention: Programs or projects that supporting safe housing and shelter for people experiencing homelessness or domestic violence, or projects or programs that address homelessness prevention or diversion.

Forward Turn is a partner with the Youth Advisory Council in Loudoun County and funded by the S.

Murray and Mary H. C. Rust Student Philanthropy Project endowment fund of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties.

Forward Turn Youth Advisors consider applications that Strengthen Positive Lifestyles, Create United Communities, and Encourage Community Involvement in Loudoun and Fauquier Counties. Children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Stirling and Murray Rust and his wife Mary Hilton Coburn Rust seeded a permanent endowment, the S. Murray Rust and Mary H.

C. Trust Student Philanthropy Project, to create the Forward Turn Youth program. **Forward Turn Grant Guidelines** The Community Foundation and its Forward Turn Youth Advisors will consider applications that Strengthen Positive Youth Lifestyle, Create United Youth Communities, and Encourage Community Youth Involvement in Loudoun and Fauquier Counties.

After review of applications, selected finalists—along with the youth endorsing their proposal—will be invited to make a brief, in-person presentation to the Forward Turn youth grantmaker committee, followed by a questions and answer session conducted by the Forward Turn youth grantmaker committee.

This provides an opportunity for youth applicants to share more about their proposed project, and for the youth reviewers to develop a deeper understanding of the projects they are reviewing. The Q&A session include follow-up questions from our youth reviewers about the grant application submitted. _ **Grant Guidelines – Community Response Grants Round One 2025** The Loudoun Community Response Fund was launched in 2025 to strengthen our community’s capacity to meet the growing needs of individuals and families striving for financial stability, well-being, safety, and long-term security.

As more Loudoun residents seek assistance, the Loudoun Community Response Fund helps ensure that local nonprofits have the resources and support needed to deliver essential services and promote lasting stability. Funding for the Loudoun Community Response Fund is made possible through support from the County of Loudoun.

**Community Response Grants – Round One 2025: Eligibility and Priorities** The Loudoun Community Response Fund announces the opening of its first grant cycle of Community Response Grants.

_Areas of Need and Eligibility_ Community Response Grants will be provided to human service organizations serving Loudoun residents within at least one the following areas of need: * Crisis intervention and diversion * Improved quality of human services * Long-term support and prevention Grants will only be awarded to 501(C)(3) nonprofit organizations serving Loudoun County. Only one proposal per organization will be considered.

Grant funds will not be awarded to: * Individuals (i.e., direct assistance to residents) * Organizations without 501(c)(3) status or a qualified fiscal sponsor _Community Response Grant Categories_ Eligible organizations addressing the areas of need described above may apply for a Community Response Grant to address at least one of these three categories: * **Increased Service Demands:**Grants to address significant increase in service demands over the past year.

* **Gap Funding:**Grants to address funding shortfalls caused by federal, state, or local actions, policy changes, or funding cuts, to assist nonprofits maintaining service continuity for Loudoun residents in need. * **New or Emerging Needs:**Grants to address new or emerging programmatic needs of Loudoun residents impacted by federal, state, or local actions, policy changes, or funding cuts.

_Additional Award Priorities_ In addition to alignment with the areas of need, priority consideration will be given to organizations that demonstrate: * Experience providing services to Loudoun residents * Track record of strong financial and grant management * Ability to collect and report data regarding programmatic outputs and outcomes * Strong existing community partnerships with other nonprofits, as well as local government and schools, if applicable _Allowable Administrative Costs_ Funding provided through the Loudoun Community Response Fund and the Community Response Grant program cannot be used to supplant expenses currently funded or committed through federal, state, local or private grants.

Grant funds may be used for programmatic costs aligned with applicants’ application and as outlined on the grant budget form. No more than 7% of a grant award provided from this grant program can be used for “facilities and administration” (F&A) costs to administer the grant. Allowable facilities costs are limited to rent, utilities, and building maintenance.

Allowable administrative costs are limited to salaries for general staff in accounting, payroll, or administrative offices, or general oversight of this grant. All F&A costs cannot exceed 7% of an applicant’s total request and grant budget. Grants are expected to range from **$25,000 to $50,000**.

Requests below $25,000 may be considered but must meet a minimum of **$10,000**. Partial grants may be awarded. The grant period is from **December 15, 2025, through December 14, 2026**.

Grantees will have up to one year from the date of award to expend grant funds. _ The Loudoun Community Response Fund was launched in 2025 to strengthen our community’s capacity to meet the growing needs of individuals and families striving for financial stability, well-being, safety, and long-term security.

As more Loudoun residents seek assistance, the Loudoun Community Response Fund helps ensure that local nonprofits have the resources and support needed to deliver essential services and promote lasting stability. Funding for the Loudoun Community Response Fund is made possible through support from the County of Loudoun.

**Housing Displacement Support Grant** **The Loudoun Community Response Fund seeks grant proposals for a one-time grant program to fund** housing displacement and relocation support services assisting Loudoun residents of mobile home or manufactured homes communities facing displacement to relocate to safe and stable housing.

Services to be funded through this grant include providing financial assistance on behalf of eligible families to cover expenses related to relocation to and maintaining safe and stable housing.

Examples of eligible assistance provided includes (but is not limited to): * Rental security deposits * Rental application fees * Moving expenses and supplies * Housing application fee assistance * Accessibility accommodations * Housing counseling services (both rental and homeownership) The selected grant recipient is also expected to: * Develop eligibility screening protocol * Conduct community outreach to eligible residents * Establish vendor payment protocols and procedures * Collect and maintain data related to resident outcomes and assistance provided The period for grant activities is December 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

Households eligible for this grant-funded program are homeowners and renters in Loudoun County mobile or manufactured home communities who are at risk of or are currently facing displacement due to community-wide lease terminations or property conversions.

To qualify, households must be able to demonstrate proof of residence as a homeowner or renter in a Loudoun mobile or manufactured home community as of July 1, 2025, and must have received a notice of required displacement on or after that date. Eligible households may access services provided through this grant, administered by a nonprofit organization.

It is expected that an assistance package up to $10,000 for eligible housing and relocation expenses should be available per eligible household and that at least 75 households should be assisted. Funds are available for direct client assistance as well as direct program costs, if applicable.

_Allowable Administrative Costs_ Funding provided through the Loudoun Community Response Fund and the Community Response Grant program cannot be used to supplant expenses currently funded or committed through federal, state, local or private grants. No more than 7% of a grant award provided from this grant program can be used for “facilities and administration” (F&A) costs to administer the grant.

Allowable facilities costs are limited to rent, utilities, and building maintenance. Allowable administrative costs are limited to salaries for general staff in accounting, payroll, or administrative offices, or general oversight of this grant. All F&A costs cannot exceed 7% of an applicant’s total request and grant budget.

**Eligibility Requirements** Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Priority may be given to applicant organizations with a demonstrated record of service delivery specifically for and in mobile home or manufactured home communities. Grant funds will not be awarded directly to individuals.

Up to $825,000 will be available for this grant program. It is anticipated that one applicant will be selected for the grant award. No more than 7% of grant funds available may be used for organizational facilities and administration costs; all other funds must be used for direct assistance on behalf of residents and direct program costs.
