Variety Kids on the Go program is sponsored by Variety Club. Variety Kids on the Go aims to help kids gain the mobility, confidence, and independence needed to be active members of their community by providing funding for sports wheelchairs, adaptive bikes, walkers, strollers, prosthetic limbs, and other equipment not covered by insurance.

Empowered through 300+ Life-changing programs In aid and support delivered to children around the world At just three years old, Miller is unstoppable. Even a rare and undiagnosable genetic condition hasn’t slowed him down. But his journey hasn’t been easy.

Global developmental delay, hypotonia, and dyskinetic movement disorder made getting around difficult. Regardless, Miller’s parents were determined to give him every opportunity to thrive. But progress was slow.

Through hours of intensive therapy, Miller longed for one thing: to play outside with his brothers. Unfortunately, the mobility frame insurance provided wasn’t built for outdoor use, leaving him stuck indoors. Then, during a therapy session, Miller was introduced to a Race Runner—a specialized frame that lets kids move safely on uneven terrain.

For the first time, Miller could walk freely and play outside with his brothers! With every step, his mobility and gait grew stronger, and his confidence soared. But at $5,500, a Race Runner was still out of reach.

That’s when Variety stepped in. With funding and support, Miller received his very own Race Runner, and everything changed for the better. Meet Brooklyn, a happy cheerful girl with a contagious giggle and smile.

Brooklyn received a Variety Grant for a gravity chair to assist with numerous medical conditions and allow her to get out and about in the sunshine more. Archie has been on an incredible journey since he was diagnosed with an extremely rare neurological disease – and Variety has been there to help him out.

Sister gives the gift of confidence Seven-year-old Abigail lives with Alopecia Areata; an autoimmune disease which often results in long-term hair loss. Seeing the impact of this condition on her younger sister, Abigail’s sister chose to chop off her long hair so that it could be made into a wig for Abigail. Variety provides life-saving medical treatments and therapies that meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of children.
