Real-World Entrepreneurship for Students The VYEF provides hands-on educational programs for high school students across Northeast Ohio by organizing immersive field trips that teach key entrepreneurship skills. Students learn how to develop business ideas, build a company, and pitch their concepts in real-world settings.
Throughout these experiences, participants collaborate with peers from other schools and gain valuable insights from entrepreneurial experts. This combination of practical learning and networking helps students strengthen their confidence and understanding of the startup process.
Cultivating Creativity and Opportunity for Tomorrow's Leaders Built on the legacy of Tinkham Veale II, we bring hands-on entrepreneurship programs to high school students across Northeast Ohio. Through real-world experiences and community partnerships, we connect students with entrepreneurs, universities, and business leaders. These collaborations create meaningful opportunities for hands-on learning.
We empower young people to discover their passions and develop resilience through entrepreneurial thinking. Students build confidence, problem-solving skills, and the mindset to overcome challenges. Our programs help students turn their ideas into action and contribute to a vibrant future for our region.
From pitch competitions to real businesses, students learn what it takes to launch. Since 2012, the Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum along with our partners has provided over 90,000 touchpoints to entrepreneurship for students in the Northeast Ohio region. These programs ignite a passion for entrepreneurship and create opportunities for students and educators.
Students attending VYEF programs meet entrepreneurs and business leaders, learn from experts about creating a business, develop new skills, and can even earn grant funding for their own businesses. Participants Since 2017 Explore Your Path to Entrepreneurship VYEF offers year-round programs for high school students across Northeast Ohio.
Whether you want to build skills, compete for prizes, or get hands-on experience, we have opportunities to help you develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Build essential skills through the Thinkfest Ideation Workshop, Skill Building Workshop, Hackathon, and our YESS Summer Camp. Learn design thinking, public speaking, networking, and more.
Put your ideas to the test in the thinkBIG! Challenge, an online business pitch competition with $9,000 in prizes. Finalists compete live at the thinkBIG!

The Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum was established in 2012 to honor the legacy of Tinkham Veale II by celebrating and fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship among high school students. We provide grants to Northeast Ohio high schools to support their entrepreneurship curriculum, programs, students, and educators.
We also partner with local universities, entrepreneurs and businesses to create programs targeted toward high school students. These programs ignite a passion for entrepreneurship and create opportunities for students and educators. Students attending VYEF programs will meet entrepreneurs and business leaders, learn from experts about creating a business, develop new skills, and can even earn grant funding for their own businesses.
