Veterans Financial Assistance Program - Community Council of South Central Texas Veterans Financial Assistance Program The Veterans’ Financial Assistance Program provides short-term emergency financial assistance to eligible Veterans, Veterans’ Dependents, and Surviving Spouses. Through this program, CCSCT may assist with one-time emergency expenses, subject to funding availability.
Eligible assistance may include: Utility payments, such as electricity, natural gas, propane, water, sewer, trash services, and applicable late fees. Housing expenses, including rent or mortgage payments, late fees, application fees, and security deposits. Eligibility is not determined by poverty guidelines or a specific income level.
Instead, applicants must demonstrate a financial need by explaining the circumstances of their financial hardship or emergency and signing a statement attesting to the crisis.
