Scholarships & Grants Application | Vermont Italian Cultural Association Information and Instructions Must be someone who lives or works in Vermont, or a student attending an accredited Vermont school. Immediate family members of those serving on the Board of Directors or the Grant Committee are not eligible to apply. The Senator and Marcelle Leahy award has specific requirements which can be found on the application.
The 2026 Application cycle begins November 1st 2025. Deadline for applications is March 1, 2026. Notification: Applicants will be notified no later than April 15th if your funding request has been approved.
VICA awards up to three grants ranging from $500 - $1,500 to individuals. Applications are reviewed by the VICA Grant Committee and are recommended to the VICA Board of Directors for approval. Within six months of project completion, recipients are required to share their experience or accomplishment with VICA and the broader community through one or more means.
This may include a live presentation, an accessible electronic presentation, or photographs and an article published in the VICA newsletter or other print mediums. VICA is open to other innovative methods of communication. It does reserve the right to approve the grantee's method(s) of communication and to publicize each awarded grant, including the grantee's name, affiliation (if any), and photo.
Applicants should submit a PDF or word document providing complete responses to each of the prompts/questions on the application. Although there is no specific word or page limit, the application is intended to encourage focused responses that align with the VICA Grant Committee's application and review criteria. Typically completed applications are 3-5 pages.
Two letters of reference are also required. (See further instructions on the application). Please note that the application is a word document and it may not open on all mobile devices.
