All systems may be unavailable from 2:00 PM on Saturday until 1:00 PM on Sunday. Virginia Housing Accessibility Grants We administer grants up to $8,000 to foster independence and provide assistance for those in need of barrier-free housing.
These are true grants, so no repayment is ever needed: Granting Freedom – Disabled Veterans and service members Owner-Occupied Modification – Homeowners Rental Unit Accessibility Modification (RUAM) – Renters Typical modifications include but are not limited to: Installing ramps and chairlifts Installing remote entry devices Modifying bathrooms and kitchens Widening of doorways and sidewalks Applications must be completed through accepted agents.
