In collaboration with initiatives at the University of Maryland that work toward the reduction of gun violence, and our commitment to uplift strategies for creating safer communities, Clarice Presents hosts a Vital Signs Mini-Grants program in support of creative works addressing gun violence.
Anti-Gun Violence mini-grants support the power of the creative arts to offer pathways for addressing and healing the communities affected by gun violence. Projects considered are creative in nature with an emphasis on community violence intervention and gun violence prevention.
Creative Arts for Black Lives The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Belonging and Community at UMD and UMD Office of Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy announce the 2025-2026 round of Vital Signs: Creative Arts for Black Lives Mini-Grants.
Five (5) mini-grants of $500-$1,000 USD each will be awarded to individual UMD student artists and UMD student organizations who are creating artistic and creative projects that explore Black life and vitality. Mini-grant funds are intended to support costs associated with the development of these projects.
