Eligibility Requirements: The VOCA Victims Services Grant Program for Sexual and Domestic Violence Services can support local sexual and domestic violence organizations in Virginia that provide direct services to victims of crime. By accepting the award, the sub-recipient agrees to comply with all statutory requirements and programmatic guidelines. Project specific terms and conditions might be added to an award to address issues specific to that individual award.

Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program (Virginia) is a grant from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) that funds a wide range of criminal justice programs across law enforcement, prosecution, courts, prevention and education, corrections, drug treatment and enforcement, planning, and technology improvements. Federal funds are allocated to Virginia based on population and violent crime statistics, then sub-granted to local governments and state agencies through both competitive application and automatic formula distributions. Localities eligible for $9,999 or less receive automatic April awards from DCJS, while those eligible for $10,000 or more apply directly to the U.S. DOJ Bureau of Justice Assistance. Any Virginia city, county, town, or state agency may apply for competitive funds up to $25,000, with a September 20, 2026 deadline. A local cash match is required for locality awards.
