Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm 899 North Capitol Street, NE, Suite 4100, Washington, DC 20002 Data shows that families of color are disproportionately represented in the foster care system, as well as, experience poorer outcomes.
This presentation will discuss the issues illumined by the data, and provide some historical context associated with child welfare and the formulation of the our child welfare policies and procedures.
Additionally, this training will create an opportunity for each participant to become aware of their own philosophical position on child and family wellbeing and will learn strategies for advancing equity by shifting individual and organizational mindset.

For the 116 grantees and the coalition of nonprofits, cities, and tribal partners that were already in award negotiations, the next 105 days will determine whether the program survives in any operational form or migrates entirely to the Court of Federal Claims as a damages action.
