Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program – Washington State Department of Commerce 简体中文 ( Chinese (Simplified) ) 繁體中文 ( Chinese (Traditional) ) Tiếng Việt ( Vietnamese ) Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program The Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program (WAEVCP) provides competitive grants to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Washington state. WAEVCP Round 1 (WAEVCP 1) awarded $98.
4 million to install more than 5,000 charging ports across the state. Many projects are now complete and powering EVs. See WAEVCP Round 1 project information on the program dashboard (PowerBI) .
WAEVCP Round 2 (WAEVCP 2) will award at least $19. 4 million, funded by Washington’s Climate Commitment Act and authorized in the 2025-2027 capital budget. Public agencies, tribal entities, retail electric utilities, community-based nonprofits, and private entities.
Private entities will have additional requirements to apply. Fleet/workplace (tribal applicants and rural public sites only) Commerce anticipates announcing Apparent Successful Applicants and unsuccessful applicants by March 3, 2026 . CleanTransportation@Commerce.
