Wastewater Infrastructure Engineering Planning Grants | Environmental Facilities Corporation Wastewater Infrastructure Engineering Planning Grants Funding to Help Complete an Engineering Report The Application Period is Now Open $3 million is available, applications due by 4 p. m. on June 12 FUNDING AVAILABLE: $3 MILLION Planning grants help communities prepare to apply for financing through EFC's Clean Water State Revolving Fund .
They fund the development of an engineering report, which is an eligibility requirement for financing. This program helps ensure fiscally sound and well-designed projects are advancing to construction. Grants of up to $100,000 are available for inflow and infiltration studies.
Grants of up to $50,000 are available for all other projects. Applications are due by 4 p. m.

Communities must meet certain Median Household Income requirements according to the United States Census American Community Survey : Equal to or less than $90,000 : Municipalities in the Capital District, Central NY, Finger Lakes, Mohawk Valley, North Country, Southern Tier or Western NY regions. Equal to or less than $110,000 : Municipalities in the Mid-Hudson, Long Island or New York City. EFC uses an online application.
Supporting documentation is required for each application. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review all requirements and submit applications early to avoid any last-minute issues. The grant application certification that is available below must be downloaded, signed by the highest elected official or the authorized representative for the applicant, and submitted via the online application.
