Environment - The Waterloo Foundation Through our environment fund we want to support projects which can help mitigate the damaging effects that humans are having on the environment and contribute to a positive change both now and in the future.
The Waterloo Foundation supports two principal programmes: The fund has two main programmes: Our Marine Fund supports initiatives that work to halt and restore declining fish stocks by: Stopping destructive and illegal fishing. Supporting sustainable and small-scale fisheries.
Our Rainforest Fund supports initiatives that protect tropical rainforests, principally through avoided deforestation by: Stopping deforestation of tropical rainforests. Supporting intact rainforests and keeping them standing. Across both of our marine and rainforest funds, projects should demonstrate benefits to people, climate and biodiversity.
