Eligible Project Types: Section 604(b) of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean Water Act requires funds to be allocated for conducting water quality planning, including: determining the nature, extent and sources of water quality problems across the state, as well as identifying nonpoint source management measures needed to help meet water quality standards.

Funding: Approximately $130,000 is available in competitive, statewide funds to support water quality planning efforts. Freedom’s Way Partnership Grant Program Agencies: Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area in Partnership with the National Park Service. Eligibility: Eligible applicants include: • non-profit organizations with current 501(c)3 status, • municipalities and state agencies, • public academic institutions.

Eligible applicants and projects must: • have the legal capacity and authority to incur obligations involved under the grant program or identify a fiscal sponsor that does, • be located within the geographic boundaries of the 45 communities within the Freedom's Way National Heritage Area, • be matched, at a minimum, two-to-one by non-federal sources, • comply with all applicable federal regulations and guidelines (projects are funded with funds received from the National Park Service), • agree to acknowledge support of the project from Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area in all publicity, printed collateral, at events, and online, • submit a final report and related documentation at the conclusion of the project.

Eligible Project Types: The Freedom’s Way Partnership Grant Program prioritizes programs and projects that: • Serve as a catalyst for interpretive sites within the region to develop new, creative projects and programs that showcase lesser-known stories and collections in their care, • Facilitate meaningful interpretive experiences that engage new and diverse audiences and support an inclusive and comprehensive narrative of the region’s history, • Cultivate a shared stewardship agenda for the Heritage Area through initiatives and programs that interpret, enhance, and preserve the natural and cultural resources of the region for current and future generations, • Support research, documentation and preliminary interpretation of stories that will lay the foundation for future programs and projects, and/or • Enhance collective memory, memorialization, civic and social engagement and discourse.

In 2027, every effort will be made to provide funding for projects to organizations and communities through the Heritage Area that have not participated in the Partnership Grant Program in the past. Funding: A total of $75,000 has been allocated for this funding cycle. Deadlines: Applications will be accepted between October 1, 2026 and April 15, 2027.

Granite State Clean Fleets Program Private and non-profit entities whose projects would provide substantial public, economic and environmental benefits to New Hampshire. Community colleges and universities. Eligible Project Types: The following project types are eligible: Diesel-to-diesel unit replacements (e.g., diesel-powered plow/dump truck).

Diesel-to-alternative fuel unit replacements: Compressed natural gas (e.g., CNG-powered refuse truck). Electricity from batteries, grid, or hydrogen fuel cells (e.g. electric school bus). Note: vehicle replacements with battery electric units include funding for the necessary charging infrastructure.

Propane (e.g., propane-powered delivery/utility truck). Hybrid (e.g. conventional or plug-in hybrid diesel-electric transit bus). Marine shore power installation.

Funding: Approximately $1,500,000. The maximum reimbursement amounts for eligible project costs are as follows: Vehicle or engine replacement/repower with diesel - $250,000. Vehicle or engine replacement/repower with conventional hybrid systems - $250,000.

Vehicle or engine replacement/repower with CNG, propane, or plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) systems - $350,000. Vehicle or engine replacement/repower with electric or hydrogen fuel cell electric - $750,000. Marine shore power projects - $350,000.

nh. gov . NH Clean Diesel (DERA) Program Eligibility: Public entities, including municipalities, state agencies, public school districts, public transit agencies, and solid waste districts.

Private and non-profit entities whose projects provide significant public and economic benefits to New Hampshire.

Eligible Project Types: The following project types are eligible: Diesel to diesel or alternative fuel (compressed natural gas, propane, hybrid or electric) unit replacements including: Off-road road vehicles, engines, and equipment Medium- and heavy-duty on-road vehicle or engine replacements of engine model year (EMY) 2010 or newer, if replaced with electric Truck stop idle reduction system installation Funding: Approximately $1,000,000 of funding currently remaining.

Grants can cover between 25% and 100% reimbursement of eligible costs for projects replacing on-road and non-road diesel units or installing certain idle reduction and aerodynamic technologies. Eligible Project Types : The applicant must provide water testing results that show lead levels at or greater than 5 parts per billion (ppb) to support the grant request. Applicants may request grant funds to reimburse schools for lead remediation actions completed after May 17, 2016, and not previously submitted for reimbursement.

Costs that may be covered under this grant include, but not limited to, the installation of water bottle filling stations, point of use (POU) filters, removal and/or replacement of faucets, fixtures, fountains, solder, piping, plumbing components and/or water treatment at any drinking water location available for consumption by children with lead results at 5 ppb or higher. Funding : minimum grant amount is $2,500 total project cost.

For more information and an entry form, visit: Lead Remediation Grant Used Oil Collection Gift (Non-Matching) Grant Program Eligibility : Municipalities, counties, solid waste districts, governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations that focus on waste management and recycling issues.

Also, private businesses that are registered motor vehicle inspection stations. Eligible Project Types : grant funds may be used to establish, improve or operate a used oil collection center, as well as to transport used oil off-site to a licensed used oil recycler. Funding : up to $2,500.

New Hampshire Housing Grants Program New Hampshire Housing’s Partnership Grants Program is intended to encourage and support housing education and advocacy at the local and regional level that promotes the relationship between an adequate and balanced housing supply and economic growth and stability, leading to changes in municipal and state land use regulations and other processes that encourage the creation of a diverse housing stock.

the Partnership Grants Program has four components of funding: (1) Incubator Grants : These grants provide up to $50,000 (up to $20,000 for start-up organizations) in funding and are available to non-profit economic development or community development organizations, including organizations that have not traditionally participated in housing advocacy with New Hampshire Housing, that propose to establish a workforce housing education and advocacy program, or start-up organizations whose primary mission is workforce housing education and advocacy.

These are one-time-only grants with no matching funds required. Organizations must be established for at least one year and dollar-for-dollar matching funds are required. Grant awards are based on a review of the work plan and the funding resources needed to fulfill the organization’s work plan.

Download Impact Grants Program PDF (3) Mini Grants: Mini Grants are made in amounts of up to $5,000 and are available to support the housing education and advocacy efforts of local or regional business groups, economic development groups, ad hoc groups, business and community leaders, service organizations, non-profit organizations and local governments.

Eligible activities also include the funding of technical assistance (by third parties) to explore housing friendly land use regulations and may also be used to research the feasibility of starting a local or regional housing advocacy initiative. No match is required; however, the availability of matching funds will be a consideration in the funding decisions.

Individuals employed by nonprofit organizations, as well as employees, appointed officials, and volunteers of county and municipal government, are eligible to receive up to $3,000 per event, per person. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Community Development Block Grant Supports the development of viable communities by improving economic opportunities and meeting community revitalization needs, particularly for persons of low and moderate income. Funding for the Community Development Block Grant program is provided to New Hampshire through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
