Watershed Restoration and Protection Program – Pennsylvania is sponsored by Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development. The program's overall goal is to restore and maintain restored stream reaches impaired by nonpoint source polluted runoff, ultimately removing these streams from the PA Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP's) Impaired Waters list.
This is accomplished through the implementation of watershed-based Best Management Practices (BMPs) for agriculture, stormwater, streambank and channel restoration, and BMP repair/upgrade/operation and maintenance of existing practices.
