WV Nursing Scholarship Program - CFWV. com WV Nursing Scholarship Program This program offers awards to students pursuing LPN, RN, LPN teaching certificate, or masters’ or doctoral nursing programs who are willing to work in West Virginia after completion of their programs. The West Virginia Nursing Scholarship program is for LPN, RN, LPN teaching certificate, and master’s or doctoral nursing education students.
In exchange for receiving the scholarship, participants agree to complete a service obligation in West Virginia. Award amounts vary each year based on the availability of funds and may be less than the maximum amount established in W. Va.
State Code. Applications are accepted each award year from April 15th through June 1st through your WVSAM account. LPN and Pre-RN licensure students who anticipate reaching their nursing midpoint date during the subsequent academic year should apply during the open award cycle.
Post-RN licensure students and graduate nursing students are welcome to apply at any point during their education. See How It Works for more details on eligibility requirements. NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) Academic Career Excellence (ACE) Award (K32) is a grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) that funds early postdoctoral fellows from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented groups, to pursue research training in cancer-related fields. The K32 award supports fellows within 12 months prior to transitioning into, or within the first two years of, a postdoctoral position. The program, operated through NCI's Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD), aims to enhance the pool of qualified diverse cancer researchers. Beginning with the June 12, 2025 due date, the CURE ACE Award is available in both Independent Clinical Trial Required and Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed versions.
