Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund is sponsored by Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund. The Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund supports programs designed to promote environmental stewardship, among other areas like affordable housing, education, and human services.

Giving Fund | Weyerhaeuser Through the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund, we support U.S. and Canadian communities where we have a significant presence or business interest. These communities range from rural to metropolitan, each with unique priorities and needs.

Our employees serve on local advisory committees for our Giving Fund and help develop funding priorities within seven focus areas to support their communities: affordable housing; education and youth development; environmental stewardship; human services; civic and cultural growth; workforce development; and inclusion.

These focus areas provide a strong companywide framework for giving while allowing flexibility to meet specific needs in our different communities. Our giving is limited to areas where we have a significant presence, including communities where we have operations and/or where we own or manage forestlands in the United States and Canada. Local community projects, services and organizations outside of a Weyerhaeuser community (see the Where We Give section) Individuals, including direct scholarships or bursary assistance Fraternal, social, labor or political organizations Activities that influence legislation Groups that discriminate based upon an individual’s gender, race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, marital status or any other characteristic protected by local, state or federal law Organizations seeking funds for theological purposes Groups or individuals seeking funds for sponsorships or to purchase tickets or tables at fundraising benefits Sports teams or athletic events Operating deficits or debt liquidation Services the public sector is reasonably expected to provide If you are seeking funding for a national project or research program that is directly related to the sustainability and importance of working forests, contact the Giving Fund .

These kinds of grant applications are accepted by invitation only . Before you begin, please review our Focus Areas and Eligibility requirements. Our giving is local and specific to each of our communities.

We do recommend making a local connection with our employee advisory committee members in your area. If you are unsure whether your organization qualifies, please refer to the Where We Give section. If you are seeking funding for a national project or research program that is directly related to the sustainability and importance of working forests, you will need to contact the Giving Fund. Industry-related national and/or research funding is by Invitation Only .

Gather the following information essential to completing the application: The organization’s Tax ID or Canada Revenue Agency Number Detailed information about the organization Detailed information about the request you're asking us to fund Financial information related to the organization and the project you are asking us to fund If your organization is based in the United States, download and complete an updated W-9 from the IRS Website .

GRANT APPLICATIONS: HOW TO APPLY When is the application deadline? Applications are processed throughout the year — but may be submitted at any time during our cycle year. For 2026, the deadline is September 30.

Applications must be completed through our online portal, and submitted with all required attachments. We do not accept paper applications or proposals. What is the application review process?

Applications are generally reviewed on an ongoing basis, throughout the year. What grant amount can I expect? Grants vary in scale in relationship to our presence in the community and the philanthropic budget available for the year.

The minimum grant awarded is $1,000. The majority of our communications with you will be through the application portal. We generally communicate our funding decision after we receive a recommendation to fund your request from your local Advisory Committee (not when you submit your grant application).

Many of our committees wait until after the deadline has passed to prioritize and finalize their grant recommendations, which means you might not hear from us until winter after the September deadline. My application was rejected. Why can't you fund my project/organization?

We regret we cannot fund all the applications we receive. I'm having trouble/need help. Who can I contact?
