Wildland Urban Interface Grant Program | Council of Western State Foresters The Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Grant Program is a grant program for fuels treatment, education, and mitigation planning on non-federal lands using USDA Forest Service State, Private, and Tribal Forestry State Fire Assistance funds.
The goal of the Western WUI Program is to assist with reducing hazardous fuels and restoring fire-adapted ecosystems, by completing fire mitigation work, improving prevention education, and planning Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPP).
