Wildlife Conservation Commission Grant Funding

Wildlife Conservation Commission Grant Funding is sponsored by Napa County, CA. The Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission supports projects aimed at the preservation and enhancement of wildlife and their habitats within Napa County. Proposals must advance the purposes listed in Section 13103 of the California Fish and Game Code.

Wildlife Conservation Commission Grant Funds Available • Napa County, CA Wildlife Conservation Commission Grant Funds Available Wildlife Conservation Commission Grant Funds Available To continue to support the preservation, propagation, and protection of fish and wildlife in the county, the Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission (WCC) will begin accepting applications for the 2026-2027 WCC Grant Cycle on June 22, 2026.

Grant funding is provided through California Department of Fish and Wildlife fines, local fines, and settlements, and the Napa County General Fund. The total amount of funding available varies each year based on available revenues and demonstrated project needs. Past grant proposals have supported wildlife rehabilitation, native habitat restoration, environmental education programs, and species monitoring studies.

Grant applications are due by July 22, 2026. The WCC is scheduled to review and consider applications at its meeting on August 24, 2026. The WCC consists of eight members, including four at-large citizen representatives, one sportsperson or angler, one youth, one wildlife conservation representative, and one member of the Planning Commission.

Grant application guidelines and instructions are available at the Planning Building and Environmental Services Department located at 1195 Third Street, Suite 210 in Napa and on the Wildlife Conservation Commission website .
