Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Grant Program is sponsored by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) & National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF). This program seeks to develop community capacity by providing assistance to diverse local partnerships for river, wetland, riparian, forest, and coastal restoration, and wildlife conservation. Projects can include urban tree canopy restoration, water monitoring, stormwater management, and projects designed to prevent trash from entering waterways.
The FWS Coastal Program (F26AS00069) and Partners for Fish and Wildlife (F26AS00068) close September 30, 2026 with a combined $21 million and 650 anticipated awards. Both list broad eligibility and zero cost share.
