The program aims to enhance and improve the quality and quantity of wildlife habitat in Michigan, supporting the Wildlife Division's strategic plan. Priority habitat specific projects include developing and maintaining large grassland or savanna complexes, wetland-associated grasslands, and improving habitat connectivity.
A minimum 10% match of the total project cost is required.

Wildlife Habitat Grant Program Applications are evaluated based on established criteria in the "Wildlife Habitat Grant Program" handbook, which is available under the "Forms and Information for Applicants" section below. Any local, state, federal, or tribal units of government, or profit or non-profit organizations. 1.
