Hoffman Foundation awards grants to organizations that benefit the blind or for medical research for the prevention of blindness. To be eligible, organizations must qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service. Average grant size: $15,000 Average number of grants per year: 15 Annual application period and deadlines Applications are accepted year-round.
Applications must be submitted by June 30 for an August meeting. Applicants will receive an automated email confirming their submission. Required agreements and reports Periodic progress reports may be required.
The William G. and Helen C. Hoffman Foundation was established through the Last Will and Testament of Helen C.
Hoffman for charitable, religious, scientific, literary, and educational purposes with a special interest in helping the blind and in medical research for the prevention of blindness. Mrs. Hoffman died in 1997, and she was predeceased by her husband, William G. Hoffman.
She was a resident of South Orange Village, New Jersey. To support agencies, institutions, and services that benefit blind persons or medical research for the prevention of blindness.
