We believe that developers should stay in full creative and business control of their game – but we are always there to guide you through the whole process.

Maybe a specific marketing agency speaks more to your voice than another, or perhaps you can hire someone you know for porting. If not, or when in doubt, WINGS will help you find the needed resources. A small difference between publishers and WINGS, but a significant impact is the flow of money; with a publisher, they collect the revenue, and you then invoice them for your share.

With WINGS, it’s different. The revenue ends in your bank account, and we invoice for our share. This is very important in terms of cash flow just after release.

A bit more work is involved, but you will learn a lot in return and stay in absolute control. Because of this setup, WINGS takes less revenue, meaning you are more likely to be able to self-publish your next game, and your studio will be more sustainable. We believe this model will lead to more profitable studios, stronger leaders, and a more inclusive and diverse industry.

We invest up to USD 500,000. Remember, your budget needs to include all services you will need for the release. Please note that if your budget is bigger than USD 500,000 we will need a confirmed finance plan for the remaining budget to move forward.

What does WINGS get in return? We invest in games on a revenue-sharing basis. Your revenue share is 50% -50% until we recoup our investment once, then 15% to WINGS.

We adjust this according to the risk. These are our standard terms, but we always look at the individual needs, therefore not every offer will be the same. What games does WINGS fund?

We fund premium PC and console indie games. The games need to be created by teams founded or co/founded by women and gender-marginalized developers. We first verify that the diversity requirements are met, and then look for excellent content, innovation, and appeal.

We don’t have any type, genre, format, or length criteria. We are more focused on whether the game is fun and whether it will sell. We don’t invest in games that we think will not be profitable.

And the games WINGS doesn’t fund? When our committee has reviewed your game, we will get back to you with an answer and offer feedback regardless of whether we choose to move forward with your game.
