Foundation & Grants | Wi Farmers Union The mission of the Wisconsin Farmers Union Foundation is to support our members and their communities through grant opportunities for events and projects that enhance life in rural Wisconsin. Any non-profit organization, individual, or WFU Chapter serving Wisconsin with proposals that align with this mission is considered eligible to apply.
We prioritize projects and initiatives that: Enhance the quality of rural life Provide opportunities for public education and dialogue Encourage cooperative economic development We offer three primary pathways for funding, depending on the scope and nature of your proposal: Conference or Organizational Sponsorship: Funding for event-based support or sponsorships that offer visibility for the Foundation, such as logo placement or tabling.
General Support or Donations: Intended for general funding appeals or broad operational support for entities working toward the Foundation's goals. Programs or Projects: Support for specific, time-bound initiatives (typically under $1,000). WFU Chapters are encouraged to use this category for local outreach and community partnerships.
The WFU Foundation Board reviews applications quarterly. To ensure your project is considered, please submit by our seasonal deadlines: February 15, May 15, August 15, or November 15. Timeline note: Please allow up to 6 weeks for processing; we recommend applying well in advance of your project date.
