The Private School Choice Programs include the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP), the Racine Parental Choice Program (RPCP) and the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program or statewide program (WPCP). Schools participating in the program receive a state aid payment for each eligible student on behalf of the student’s parent or guardian.
Determination of which program a student is eligible for is based on where in Wisconsin a student resides. If a student resides in the City of Milwaukee, they are eligible to apply to the MPCP. If a student resides in the Racine Unified School District, they are eligible to apply to the RPCP.
If a student resides outside of the City of Milwaukee and the Racine Unified school district, they are eligible to apply to the WPCP. Student eligibility, which is established by state law, varies for each program. Student eligibility is a combination of student residence, income and prior year attendance.

Robotics League Participation Grant is a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction that funds student teams in grades 6–12 to participate in competitive robotics leagues and tournaments. Awards of up to $6,000 cover allowable expenses including registration fees, competition kits, required supplies, travel, and a stipend for the team mentor. Eligible applicants include public schools, charter schools (2R and 2X), private schools, and home-based educational programs in Wisconsin; each team must include at least one adult mentor. The 2025–26 application deadline was October 1, 2025. The 2026–27 application cycle is expected to open in fall 2026.
Robotics League Participation Grants is sponsored by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Grant awards are available to public schools, 2R and 2X charter schools, private schools, and home-based educational programs to facilitate participation in robotics competitions. Eligible teams include students in grades 6 through 12 and have at least one mentor.
AODA student mini-grant program is sponsored by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. A primary funding priority of the mini-grant program is the involvement of youth in the planning and implementation of the project. Consideration will also be given based on the educational value of the project and statewide geographic distribution of funds.
Public Humanities Projects opens October 15, 2026 and closes December 9, with planning grants to $75,000 and implementation grants to $750,000. The program has been narrowed to two formats and four mandated themes, and the award notification does not arrive until July 30, 2027.
