Cost-Share Assistance for High Tunnel Replacement Plastic - Buncombe County Center | N. C. Cooperative Extension Cost-Share Assistance for High Tunnel Replacement Plastic For small farmers facing the economic strain of replacing plastic on greenhouses or high tunnels, good news is in sight.
The WNC energyCAP AgEnergy Program is now offering 25% cost-share assistance funds in 30 counties in Western North Carolina for high tunnel & greenhouse replacement plastic. Applications are currently being accepted on a rolling basis.
Eligibility requirements: Plastic is more than 4 years old, degraded, and/or damaged; plastic is damaged from a weather event; high tunnel/greenhouse must be in production; farm is located in 30 far WNC counties; multiple structures are eligible. Cost-share funds are also available for solar PV, insulation, and lighting upgrades, and other renewable and energy efficiency projects. Visit the energyCAP website for more information.
