Wolfson Fabric Repair Grants | National Churches Trust Wolfson Fabric Repairs Grants are awarded by the National Churches Trust on behalf of the Wolfson Foundation. The aim of the grant is to support the conservation and restoration of places of worship with outstanding historic and architectural significance.
Churches of any Christian denomination can apply for grants of up to £15,000 to support repairs to the fabric of their buildings such as roof repairs, masonry repairs, rainwater disposal and drainage, and floorwork. You must apply through our Medium or Large Grant programmes to be considered for both National Churches Trust funding as well as funding from the Wolfson Foundation.
Express your interest in being considered for the Wolfson Fabric Repair Grant by ticking the box for Wolfson Fabric Repair Grants towards end of the application form. Following our independent Grants Committee meeting you will be notified if your application was successful for either or both awards. It is possible to receive a Wolfson Fabric Repair Grant as well as a Medium or Large Grant.
Are you eligible for a Wolfson Fabric Repair Grant? You must meet the National Churches Trust criteria for a Medium or Large Grant The building must be listed Grade I or II* in England and Wales, Grade A or B+ listed in Northern Ireland, and Grade A or B listed in Scotland.
Wolfson Fabric Repair Grants cannot fund: Projects that have benefited from a Wolfson Foundation funding within the previous five years Renewal of heating and lighting, the installation of facilities, such as toilets or kitchens or access improvements, project development work Any Category D (or lower) recommendation arising from a Quinquennial Inspection (QI) report Work that has already started Grants to support urgent repair and maintenance issues costing up to £80,000, as well as project development work.
