Louis area 501(c)(3) organizations through grants and challenge grants for programs that ensure the dignity and honor of older adults, 60+ years old, in the St. Louis community. In concert with one of the Jewish Federation of St.

Louis’ core commitments to “secure the well-being and safety of individuals within the Jewish community” and its high strategic priority of serving “older adults, 60+ years old, Jews at risk,” the Women’s Auxiliary Foundation for Jewish Aged is committed to our mission to fund organizations and programs that work toward this priority. Guidelines for the Women’s Auxiliary Foundation The guidelines remain unchanged since 2023.

We want and encourage creativity and ask that your request has a mission and priority of Jewish older adults, 60 years and over, in the community at large. Grants that address unmet needs in the area of mental health & well-being remain our highest priority for funding; however, proposals that address other unmet needs of Jewish older adults will also be considered. We prefer to fund programs that can demonstrate significant impact.

We prefer to fund ongoing programs rather than one-time programs. For congregations, we prefer to fund programs that find ways to transcend the walls of the congregation (i.e., applications from congregations must articulate a clear strategy for reaching people outside the membership of the congregation).

We prefer not to fund Intergenerational programs, especially where most of the program expenses are focused on populations other than older adults. We continue to encourage collaboration across organizations. Applications will be accepted from a professional employed by a St.

Louis non-profit working in collaboration with organizations in the Jewish community. Applicants for new investments are limited to requests of up to $15,000. Women’s Auxiliary Foundation Congregation B’nai Amoona , Hazak!
