Women's Community Foundation of Harvey County - Central Kansas Community Foundation Women’s Community Foundation of Harvey County (WCFHC), an affiliate of the Central Kansas Community Foundation, was established with a noble purpose: to encourage women to engage in local philanthropy.
Through its mission of building stronger communities, WCFHC has made a significant impact through grantmaking, encouraging charitable giving, and recognizing women as dedicated volunteers and philanthropists. WCFHC boasts a rich history of making positive contributions to the community. Since its inception in 2000, the foundation has awarded approximately $504,174 in grant funding to non-profit organizations serving Harvey County.
These grants have supported a multitude of initiatives, fostering growth and addressing timely community needs. Celebrating 25 Years of Community Impact As WCFHC celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2025 and reflected on a quarter-century of transformative community work. This milestone is not just a testament to the foundation’s past achievements but also a beacon of its future aspirations.
Focused on building a sustainable means of grantmaking for years to come, WCFHC has been actively creating endowed funds, ensuring that the legacy of community impact and empowerment continues for future generations. The Women’s Community Foundation of Harvey County remains committed to its mission of strengthening communities through the power of collective support and the generosity of its donors.
As it looks forward to the next 25 years, WCFHC continues to inspire and mobilize women in Harvey County to make a lasting difference through philanthropy. In October 2025 the following non-profits received grants from Women’s Community of Harvey County for a total of $22,500.

Each year women are publicly recognized who dedicate their time, talents and energy to improving their communities in Harvey County.
