Women’s Giving Alliance Grant Program is sponsored by The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. Focuses on addressing violence against women and girls through initiatives aimed at prevention, survival, and empowerment.

Our process begins with an application, followed by thoughtful review and consideration of all received proposals. Once the Membership ratifies the grants in the spring, funding begins July 1.

We actively seek to hear from you on what’s going well and what’s not, so that we can together better support the women and girls of Northeast Florida. What we have learned from past and current grantees informs our philanthropy. Learn how we listen to grantees .

Our Grantmaking Focus Area WGA’s new focus area for its grants and community efforts for 2025 and beyond is Addressing Violence Against Women & Girls: Preventing, Surviving, Thriving.

HELP GIRLS be safer and more empowered at home, school, and online. EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY about violence against women and girls. BROADEN SHORT- TERM SERVICES for female victims (and their children); shelter is critical but may only be the beginning.

EXPAND LONG-TERM SUPPORT enabling transition to self-sufficiency (and independence from the abuser) Learn More: Voices Rising (PDF) 1. Agency Workforce Support Agency Workforce Support grants are designed to help area nonprofits to attract, upskill and retain a talented workforce.

Examples of Workforce Support grants include, but aren’t limited to: Other types of recruitment and retention support Pandemic-related mental health support 2. Client Basic Needs Support Client Basic Needs Support provides essential funding to help local nonprofits meet core client needs.

Examples of Client Basic Needs grants include, but aren’t limited to: Short-term housing assistance Food and/or transportation costs Physical or mental health services Additional wraparound needs for clients Current 501(c)(3) status (or a formal agreement with a fiscal sponsor) and a minimum two-year work history. Must serve at least one of these counties: Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam, St.

January 21, 2026 | Application closes at 11:59 p. m. February to April 2026 | Grants Decision Team and Grants Finance Team review and make final recommendations to the operating board.

May 2026 | Operating board reviews grant recommendations and approves them for ratification. May 2026 | Recommendations are presented to WGA Membership; Members vote on the recommendations. May 2026 | Grantees notified of awards.

July 1, 2026 | Grants begin. Eligible organizations may apply for ONE of the following opportunities: Nonprofits with an annual operating budget under $250,000 can apply for a maximum grant request of $10,000 for programmatic support. Requests can be made for up to $125,000 and a minimum of $50,000 for programmatic support.

Our grant applications are closed and will reopen at the end of 2025. However, we understand the grant writing process can be lengthy and many nonprofits like to get a head start. While our instructions and applications often change each year, we understand the previous year’s application can be helpful with planning.
