GWC Grant Application and Process – Greenwood County Community Foundation Greenwood Women Care (GWC) Home GWC Grant Application & Process Greenwood Women Care is committed to learning about needs and opportunities in Greenwood County and supporting nonprofit organizations that serve Greenwood County residents through our GWC Grants. Thank you for your interest in GWC Grants.
Please review the GWC Grant Guidelines to determine whether your organization’s program or project is suitable for GWC funding consideration. GWC Grant Application and Process Applications for 2026 GWC Grants will be accepted from August 1-31, 2026. The GWC 2026 Grant Application may be downloaded here .
Instructions for completing the downloaded application for 2026 may be found here . The Verification Checklist for 2026 may be found here . Information sessions for GWC Grants are held annually for those interested in applying for a GWC Grant.
Although attending a session is not mandatory, it is recommended for a clear understanding of our granting process. Information sessions for the 2026 cycle will be held on Tuesday, July 14, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am , and on Thursday, July 16, 4:00 – 5:00 pm , in the GCCF conference room at 110 Phoenix St. Email gwc@greenwoodcf.
org to register for an information session. Grant Writing 101, a workshop offered at no cost to participants representing local nonprofits, will be held on Tuesday, July 21, from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm . This workshop will include a Funders Forum with representatives from local grantmaking organizations.
Although there is no charge for the workshop, space is limited and registration is required . Up to two persons per organization may attend. Registrations will be accepted starting June 1 .

Lakelands Counts is an easy-to-use platform that supports community improvement work in Abbeville, Greenwood, McCormick, and Saluda counties. It contains data, best practices, and resources, and hosts over 140 health and quality of life data indicators. Users may customize maps and reports to visualize and analyze data.

The GWC Women’s Health Grant supports holistic care and health education to improve physical, mental, or social health and well-being. This grant is funded through a Field of Interest Fund endowed by Jim and Denise Medford and held by the Greenwood County Community Foundation. The GWC Women’s Health Grant subcommittee developed the granting and evaluation process for this grant award.
A single grant will be made to an organization working to improve women’s health. The anticipated amount (approximately $5,000) will be announced for each cycle. Funded projects should occur between April 1 of the current year and March 31 of the following year.
The GWC Women’s Health Grant is awarded every other year. Information about the 2027 cycle will be posted here early in that year. GWC 2025 Women’s Health Grant Application GWC 2025 Women’s Health Grant Guidelines Grant Writing 101 , a workshop featuring professional presenters and practical information on completing effective grant applications, is offered annually at no charge to local nonprofit staff and volunteers.
