Regular Funding Cycle - Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund The Regular Funding Cycle of the United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) provides quality and flexible funding to local women’s organizations working in crisis and conflict-affected countries. National, regional, local/grassroots, women or young women-led, women’s rights, youth rights, feminist, and civil society organizations are eligible to apply.
Organizations who are led by women who face multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination are encouraged to apply, including displaced persons, members of the LGBTQI+ community, people with disabilities, and ethnic minorities. In some countries, INGOs are eligible to apply. The eligibility criteria are detailed in the Call for Proposal document.
Call for Proposals are launched on a regular basis at the country or regional level, based on availability of funds. We are accepting project proposals from local civil-society organizations in over 30 active countries . WPHF has no calls for proposals currently open at this time.

WPHF conducts the longlisting and shortlisting of proposals and the National Steering Committee takes the final decision on which proposals are selected for funding. Emergency Calls for Proposals: Calls for Proposals are open to a list of pre-identified CSOs that have passed UN capacity assessments and have a proven track record to respond to a specific emergency need.

This Call for Proposal is used in emergency situations only. Targeted Calls for Proposals: Calls for Proposals are open to a list of pre-identified CSOs that have passed UN capacity assessments.

This Call for Proposals is only used in situations where funding is limited. Civil society organizations (CSOs) are invited to apply with a focus on one of the following outcomes based on the local context and needs: Enabling Environment for Women, Peace and Security (WPHF Impact Area 1) Tip Sheet, Impact Area 1: Enabling Environment for WPS English Conflict Prevention (WPHF Impact Area 2) Tip Sheet, Impact Area 2: Conflict Prevention English Humanitarian and Crisis Response (WPHF Impact Area 3) Tip Sheet, Impact Area 3: Humanitarian & Crisis Response English Conflict Resolution (WPHF Impact Area 4) Tip Sheet, Impact Area 4: Conflict Resolution English Protection of Women and Girls (WPHF Impact Area 5) Tip Sheet, Impact Area 5: Protection of Women and Girls English Peacebuilding and Recovery (WPHF Impact Area 6) Tip Sheet, Impact Area 6: Peacebuilding & Recovery English Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USD To strengthen the institutional capacity of women’s rights and women-led organizations working on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda and humanitarian action to ensure they are able to sustain themselves through crisis and conflict, as well as to increase their impact.
