Texas Women's Foundation | Addressing the Texas Childcare Crisis Review and Share our Research Texas Women’s Foundation is Transforming Texas for women and girls by advancing their economic security and leadership through research, advocacy, grants and programs. Women play a pivotal role in Texas’ economy – one of the strongest in the nation, yet barriers to their economic security persists.
Texas Women’s Foundation’s fifth edition of Economic Issues for Women in Texas Report examines women’s ability to participate fully, consistently and productively in the workforce as it relates to their roles as providers, mothers and caregivers.
Policies are needed to address the issues that challenge Texas women and families and pose a threat to the Texas economy: pay equity, access to leadership roles, health care/insurance, affordable child care and housing stability. Texas Women’s Foundation is creating a movement to address these key issues by advocating for positive economic and social change so Texas women and families can thrive.
Guided by research that identifies the barriers to women’s economic security and success, Texas Women’s Foundation deploys funds supporting programs and initiatives that are advancing the lives of women and girls. Over the last year, we distributed $4. 9M in grants to 167 women- and girl-serving organizations, with an additional 1.
