Woman Veteran-owned Small Business Initiative (WVOSBI) Program Overview Empowering Mission-Ready Women Veteran Entrepreneurs The Women Veteran-Owned Small Business (WVOSB) Program is a national initiative that equips women veterans to pursue Federal contracting opportunities with confidence, clarity, and capability.

This program provides targeted training, procurement-readiness tools, and access to decision-makers across the government and private sector. The WVOSB Program helps agencies and industry partners engage a high-performing, mission-aligned business segment. Women veteran-owned businesses bring operational discipline, leadership experience, and real-world readiness to Federal contracting.

This program enables agencies to broaden their supplier base and gives WVOSBs the tools needed to compete and perform.

Business Readiness Training on Federal procurement, certifications, and capability statements Live Pitch Events & Matchmaking with contracting officials and prime contractors Market Research Support through agency-aligned tools and outreach Acquisition Workshops that cover pre-award to post-award readiness Capability Briefings and structured introductions to Federal programs.

Federal Agencies / Other Government agencies can share: Educational materials and procurement guides Agency mission briefs and market research needs coming industry events and forecasted opportunities Referrals to decision-makers or internal champions Large Businesses and Primes can contribute by: Offering teaming and subcontracting strategies Providing pitch feedback or proposal templates Hosting joint capability briefings or roundtables Engaging in mentor-protégé relationships Non-veteran-owned businesses can: Collaborate on small business set-aside contracts Build diverse and responsive teams through JV or partnerships Open doors for WVOSBs in adjacent or related sectors Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration Pursuant This program supports strategic knowledge exchange.

Participating agencies and partners may voluntarily share educational content, acquisition practices, and outreach opportunities. Likewise, VA may share program frameworks, tools, and engagement models for replication across government. All collaboration honors public value, transparency, and Federal policy alignment.
