Wonderful Community Grants Central Valley Community Grants Since 2015, Wonderful Community Grants has funded over $10M across 172 nonprofits and 175 schools in the San Joaquin Valley. This next year, we will be funding $1M in grants to schools and organizations serving our priority communities. The 2025 application is now closed.
The 2026 application will open July 1, 2026. Successful applicants MUST Demonstrate a commitment to making the rural communities of the San Joaquin Valley in California a more equitable place to live, work, and play Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, hospital, clinic or community health organization, local government agency, or school.
Grant proposal must directly impact one of the communities in our geographic focus areas Organizations must demonstrate impact in one or more of the following communities: Kern County: Delano, Wasco, Shafter, Lost Hills Fresno County: Sanger, Del Rey, Firebaugh, Mendota Wonderful Community Grants will support game changing work across all impact areas, but we especially encourage initiatives that support: Youth Enrichment/Education Park Access & Sustainability Successful applicants will demonstrate community need and yield tangible and visible results.
Funds are available for program development/expansion, innovation, small scale capital improvements, technology and equipment (please see FAQs for further details). We will not fund general support through Community Grants. $1,000–$50,000 grants, awarded until funds are exhausted Up to two $100,000 grants, awarded funds to be used over two years The 2025 application is now closed.
