We realize that opportunities for woody buffer plantings sometimes emerge later in the season as watershed groups are working through details with landowners, tree nurseries and crews. WUV will accept woody buffer applications on a rolling basis for plantings for spring and fall 2022.
This Woody Buffer Block Grant from the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation is for WUV to subgrant funds to watershed groups to plant woody riparian buffers to improve water quality. Please review the grant guidelines for additional details on buffer and site requirements. The guidelines and application documents can be found on the Watersheds United Vermont website.
